ANASUYA GUPTA

Anasuya Gupta, is a Founder member of Amit Gupta Foundation. Anasuya founded Amit Gupta Foundation in memory of her husband Late Shri Amit Gupta who passed away in the year 2008. The chief cause of his untimely death was various complications and post surgery reactions of a renal transplant. The transplant took place in 1995 and for 13 years that he lived after & 2 years prior to the transplant, where innumerable hospital visits and stays occurred, made Anasuya realize the need to reach out to people impacted and those who can help save lives.

Since 2009 Anasuya has worked relentlessly in spreading the knowledge and raising awareness for organ donation. She herself has initiated many presentations and talks to break the myths and false information to groups of people from all walks of life. Her keen interest in the health sector in India and eduction which she believes go hand in hand has encouraged people to sign up for organ donation.

Her work takes her to the less privileged primarily because they have the least access to facilities and the women in particular from this segment.

She would like to take the project to the rural areas and tie up with institutions in order to eventually have a central registry system which would make transplants more efficient in the country.

Anasuya is also the Chairperson and Managing Director of CICO Technologies Ltd., a premier construction chemical company with the oldest brand in the country. Her time is divided between her office and what she believes in giving back to society and uplifting those who need a hand to make a better life.
